Story of Muslim Ali, a honest auto driver

Today, the front pages of news papers and TV news channels are dominated by news related to murders, rape, scams. Good acts or good news often don't find its right place and they continue to get ignored. This sad state of Media unfortunately projects a wrong picture of people around us and makes us wrongly think that the world is probably now a dwelling place for murderers, goons and bad people. But its not true. This particular story stuck me today while reading the papers which stood out and it may not have found the right place in the  news paper, but deserves a place in my heart and on my blog.

Glad we still have few people remaining like Muslim Ali, who drives auto for living, who gives us the little hope needed to believe that this world is actually not that bad as thought to be. Its just that the good news or good acts aren't interesting any more and don't find its way through many of us.

Muslim Ali aged 30, drives auto in Hyderabad and comes from a place called Dabeerpura. On 20th Feb, four women who came to Hyderabad to purchase gold had engaged Muslim Ali's auto after their shopping. But while getting down they forgot the bag that had jewelery and cash amount worth 4L. Muslim Ali found the bag in his auto when he went home and he immediately alerted near by police station. The women read about this incident in a morning daily and approached the police station. Muslim Ali was appreciated for his honesty and the women rewarded him with Rs 10,000.

Many of us might not find this news interesting and might think there is nothing great about what Muslim Ali did. We would also have done the same in such circumstance. Well, its really easier said that done especially when someone drives auto for living. Anyhow, Lets not get into that. I just wanted to share this wonderful act of honesty from Muslim Ali and wanted to do my little bit to let this not go unnoticed as a small uninteresting columns of our news papers. Hope you like it. World is still a great place with great people doing great deeds. All it needs is a little attention from all of us.

Andhra Politics Reaching New Heights - JP Manhandled

Assembly is the supposedly the place where democracy needs to be safeguarded. But today, Andhra Politics attained new heights. Jaya Prakash Narayan was manhandled in front of Assembly just because he thought in a democratic country like India, he could exercise freedom of speech and express his opinion.
In a very sad and shameful event, JP was manhandled by some TRS party politicians in front of Assembly. And just not stopping there, they even went ahead and threatened that they would not allow him to stay in Hyderabad.

I really don't have words to write here about it. I am not sure what to call this kind of system. Its really pity and sad that AP politics is moving fast down the wrong path. Politicians are playing with the sentiments of people for personal gains. I don't know what is the solution nor i have powers to do something. And to be honest, i really don't care either. But it really hurt me to know that a very well educated, highly qualified personal, who is making an honest effort to bring in change was manhandled by few people who probably might not even know or understand what IAS stands for.  I was moved by his speech which he delivered after the incident.

I SHALL NOT BE A BYSTANDER.
